Gift wrapping
Gift wrap is a product you create, for example "Gift wrap" at $5. Treble adds a switch to the cart drawer, the cart page and, with the Gift wrap block, the product page. Turning it on adds the wrap to the cart; turning it off removes it.
Before you start
Create the gift wrap product in Shopify admin, with its price and an image. You can hide it from your collections and search.
How to set it up
Step 1: Set up gift wrapping
- Open Theme settings > Gift wrapping.
- Pick the Gift wrap product (1).
- Choose what Gift wrapping applies to: Each item adds one wrap per product line, labelled with the product it is for; The whole order adds one wrap for the cart.
- Choose where to Offer gift wrap on (2): chosen products only, or every product.
- Set the switch's Label and Text, and whether it shows in the cart drawer.
Step 2: Choose which products offer it
- With Chosen products only, tag the products
gift-wrap, or set theircustom.gift_wrapmetafield (true or false) to true.
Step 3: Add the switch to the product page (optional)
- In Product details, add the Gift wrap block. Its switch adds the wrap together with the product.

How it works
- The wrap is an ordinary cart line, so its price, taxes and stock work like any product.
- With Each item, removing a product from the cart also removes its wrap.
Troubleshooting
Gift wrap doesn't show for a product.
With Chosen products only, the product needs the gift-wrap tag or the custom.gift_wrap metafield set to true.
