Getting started with Treble
Treble is a Shopify theme for electronics, audio, hardware and tech brands. It is built on Online Store 2.0: every page is made of sections, and most sections are made of blocks you can add, reorder and remove in the theme editor.
This guide covers what you need before you start customizing. The rest of the documentation follows the order you will likely work in: theme settings first, then the header and footer, the product page, collections and cart, and finally the sections you build pages with.

How to set it up
Step 1: Add Treble to your store
- From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
- In the theme library, click Add theme and choose Treble, or try it from the Shopify Theme Store.
- Click Customize on Treble to open the theme editor. Nothing changes on your live store until you click Publish.
Step 2: Find your way around the theme editor
- The left sidebar lists the sections of the page you are editing, grouped into Header, Template, Footer and Overlays (cart drawer, search, menu drawer, quick view and pop-ups).
- Use the page picker at the top to switch templates: home page, products, collections, pages, blog, cart and more.
- Click a section or block to open its settings on the right. Click Add section or Add block to add more.
- The gear icon opens Theme settings: colors, typography, layout and other settings shared by the whole store.

Step 3: Set up your store data
- Create your menus in Content > Menus: the header, footer and menu drawer read them.
- Give each collection an image: mega menus, collection tiles and the menu drawer use it.
- Optional but recommended for electronics: add the product metafields Treble reads for spec lines, key specs, compatibility and downloads. See Product data: metafields and tags.
How it works
- Theme updates are free. They are not applied automatically: add the new version from the theme library and copy your customizations, or use Shopify's update notification when it appears.
- Each Treble license covers one store.
- Every section and block setting shows a short help text in the editor. These docs go further: step-by-step setup, how each feature behaves, and what to check when something doesn't show.
Troubleshooting
Changes don't appear on my store.
Click Save in the theme editor, and make sure you are editing the published theme. A theme that is not published only shows in its preview.
I can't find a section in Add section.
Some sections only work in certain places: product sections on product templates, overlays in the Overlays group. Open the template where you want the section and search again.
