Setup Footer
General
The footer is a section at the bottom of your website used to display additional information, navigation links, customer support, and brand information.
To set up a custom footer, go to the Theme Editor, then in the left panel -> scroll down and select Footer.
How to create footer menu
To set up the menu for the footer, go back to Shopify Admin, select Content -> Menus
Here, create a new menu, name it Footer Menu, then add the menu items you want.

Customize Footer layout
Shopify OS 2.0 Footer section, use blocks for flexible interface customization. So if you’re new to Shopify, it may feel a bit unfamiliar, but this guide will help you understand how to use and set up the footer
In the Footer section, in the Theme Editor’s right panel, you’ll find a setting called Columns with options 3 / 4 / 5—this is the number of columns the footer will use. That means if you set Columns to 3, the footer will split into columns as shown in the image below
When you add a block, it will use each column in order. For example, if I add the following blocks:
- Text
- Image
- Empty Space
It will then display sequentially as shown in the image below
Assuming you add a fourth block Payment Icons, it will be placed in the first column and below. Similarly, as shown in the image below:
In each block, there will be different customization options to help you easily adjust the size, spacing, or colors of that specific block

- Image
- Line
- Localization and currency
- Menu
- Newsletter
- Payment icons
- Social media
